Announcing Culture Works Canada | Culture à l’œuvre Canada
We are thrilled to announce an organizational milestone: the Cultural Human Resources Council (CHRC) is rebranding to better serve and support Canada’s cultural workforce.
From today forward, we will be known as Culture Works Canada (CWC) | Culture à l’œuvre Canada (COC).
This new identity reflects our core mission and our continued commitment to champion and empower Canada’s cultural workers and workplaces.
About our rebrand
Our rebrand is our renewed commitment to represent today's cultural workers, workplaces, and sector realities, and to embrace our unique role and value. Since our founding in 1996, we have evolved from our original structure as a federal government sector council to an independent national cultural service organization. Our new name signals our forward-looking focus and growth.
Our rebranding journey has been rooted in valuable feedback. Over the past six months, we consulted our members, stakeholders, and partners across the country to deeply understand what makes us indispensable to today’s Canadian cultural workforce. Through surveys, focus groups, and market research, we have refined how we present ourselves to better help communicate how we serve our sector.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed their time, insights, and expertise to this process. With your input, we have shaped a brand that truly reflects our values, our unique role, and our goals.
Our new tagline and look
As Culture Works Canada | Culture à l’œuvre Canada, we remain committed to fostering a thriving, diverse, and skilled cultural sector.
Our new tagline, “Empowering Canada’s cultural workforce | Habiliter la main-d’œuvre culturelle” emphasizes this purpose and our dedication.
Our beautiful new logo, designed by Kenji Toyooka Art + Design, celebrates the energizing forces of culture in our multicultural society. Its flowing, swirling design embodies the spirit of innovation and productivity of our sector, and symbolizes our dedication to empowering Canada’s cultural workers and workplaces.
Our value proposition is our commitment to you
